The Old Course at St Andrews is one of the oldest golf courses in the world and the game has been played here since the 15th century. The Royal and Ancient Golf Club is the international governing body for golf and dates back to 1754. In 1834, King William IV became its patron and the club became known under its present name. The Open Championship has been staged here 27 times. The day we filmed these clips was the day before the Womens Open Golf Championship. We were fortunate enough to get a chance to watch some of the top female golfers practicing their swings and shots for their big day!
