The idyllic and charming village of Elie, situated in the East Neuk of Fife has a spectacular sandy beach and offers wonderful views across the Firth of Forth towards the famous Bass Rock. Originally a fishing village, Elie, now attracts visitors all year round who come for the invigorating sea air, picturesque golf courses, scenic coastal walks, numerous watersports and delicious freshly caught seafood. Visiting Elie is like stepping back in time to the glorious days of childhood seaside holidays. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch at The Ship Inn which has a prime position overlooking the bay. Established in 1838 the pub oozes atmosphere and serves up delicious food and friendly banter. We never tire of visiting Elie...definitely one of our favourite places in Scotland.
