Beecraigs Country Park, nestled high in the Bathgate Hills near the historic town of Linlithgow in West Lothian, offers a wide range of recreational activities including fishing, walking, archery and cycling. There are many forest trails leading you through spectacular mixed woodland where gentle flowing burns meander alongside a variety of wild flowers. We embarked on a 4 mile walk around the park and climbed Cockleroy, a grassy hill offering distant panoramic views and also the site of a Bronze Age fort. On a clear day you can see as far as Goat Fell on Arran, some 66 miles away.
